Building Business Relations to Taiwan

Taiwan may be a small island geographically, but it is one of the most important locations in the world when discussing business, trading, and the world economy. This is due to the significant relationships that have been created between Taiwan and the Chinese mainland. Taiwan is also a central part to the United States and European trade relations with China.
Taiwan used to be considered an underdeveloped, agricultural community. That identity has been entirely transformed to become a leading producer of hightechnology devices and goods. Foreign investments have helped create a more modern and laborintensive society. This environment has made it possible for many foreign businesses to create lasting relationships with Taiwanese businesses and the Taiwanese people.

Taiwan is especially interested in importing coal, oil, and gas in order to meet energy needs. The nation exports textiles, clothing, and advanced technology devices. The per capita income level has increased each year for several decades, which has created more and more Taiwanese businesses that are able to create relationships with foreign investors and businesses.

Due to the political instability of the nation, there can exist several barriers to creating these relations in Taiwan. With the proper legal assistance most interested businesses are able to succesfully create and sustain these relationships.
