Mountain Trips in Taiwan

Although Taiwan is a tropical island, most of its landscape is covered with high mountain tops and rough terrain. More than 200 of the nations mountain peaks are more than 3000 meters above the sea and are covered in rich, green forest. Taiwans mountainous regions create an excellent location for outdoor and mountain adventurers who are seeking a new way to challenge their skills.

Jade Mountain

Jade Mountain is also known as Yushan and is the highest mountain peak in all of northeast Asia. During the winter months, this mountain peak is frosted with snow at its most elevated regions. The mountain is located within Yushan National Park, which is the largest national park in Taiwan.

Snow Mountain

Snow Mountain is the second highest peak in Taiwan at nearly 4000 meters above sea level. The mountain is considered to contain some of the most beautiful scenic views in all of Taiwan.

Hehuanshan

This mountain peak reaches more than 3400 meters above sea level and is a popular destination due to the large amounts of snowfall recorded annually.
